Philip the second: Philip was the son of Charles V who was the reigning Holy Roman emperor and Isabella of Portugal. Philip was born on May 21 1527. In 1555 Charles resigned the Netherlands to his son Philip and he also resigned the kingdoms of Spain, the Spanish overseas empire, and the Franche-Comté to Philip. Philip was the ruler of one of the largest empires ever! He once tried to expand the power of Spain as well. Philip died from an assassination by one of his body guards when he was 46 years old.

 Alexander the great: Alexander was born in Ancient Greece in the Pella region. He was born on July 20, 356 B.C. His parents were King Philip II of Macedon and Queen Olympia, daughter of King Neoptolemus. Alexander was once tutored by the famous philosopher Aristotle. Alexander the great was king od Macedonia for less then 13 years but he had a great impact on history. He created a great empire that expanded from Macedonia to Egypt and from Greece to a part of India. He was also a great military general. 

 Daruis the third: Darius was the last king of the Achaemenid Empire of Persia, from 336 BC to 330 BC. When the person empire was under Alexanders control, Alexander had decided to pursue Darius. Darius was born in 381 B.C. and he died from murder in 330 B.C. Darius improved the legal and economic system and he conducted impressive construction projects across the Persian empire.

 How were they all connected?:
Darius and Alexander were connected because they had fought many great battles against each other. Alexander and Philip were connected because Alexander was Philips son.

    You got the wrong Phillip II. Yours lived almost 2000 years after Alexander. Phillip II, king of Macedonia, was Alexander the Great's father.

COVID-19 has surely brought a change to the entire world! Students and teachers are facing new challenges such as, being more independent with work, having more work, not being able to get feedback, having to stress over the amount of work someone gives us or we have to do etc. Cyber school is different to some classes, especially class of 2020, but most likely not teachers who have worked at JC a while. From what I've been told, there have been cyber days when we've had off school for snow, but not nearly as long of a break like this. Students have new responsibilities like waking up at a decent time so they don't ruin their sleep schedule, getting all their work done inn a good bout of time so they aren't stressed, not plagiarizing or cheating so they don't go against the honor pledge etc. Students really need to get done time management. Teachers have new responsibilities and goals too like giving enough work where they are able to grade it in a decent time, actu

The Parthenon:   The Pantheon is supposedly one of the most important buildings of classical Greece. The Pantheon was made based of the Doric order, which was a popular way to make buildings in Ancient Greece. The Parthenon was a building dedicated to the goddess of Athens, Athena. Before that it was a former Athenian Acropolis. As the Athenian empire was at its peak in 447 BCE that's when the construction started on this building. Some of the design of this building also belongs to the Ionic order. The Ionic order: People identified the Ionic order by its vaulted capital. There are some similarities between the Doric design and the Ionic design such that The cushion placed on top of the column is shaped like the Doric order. In Ionic order, columns are very narrow with shallow flutes that do not make a sharp edge, but have a flat band between them.

Before civilizations in the prehistoric era,   200,000 years ago a human species emerged into central Africa. the earliest prehistoric age is the Paleolithic age also known as the goldstone age. There was also the neolithic age know as the new Stone Age. During the prehistoric are there was the agricultural revolution. During this time villagers were polytheistic, populations grew due to increased ability to produce a surplus of food, status of women was lowered as women were confined to more domestic duties, and the invention of the plow and wheel made it possible to produce enough food for storage.
